Some Recent Recalls & Safety Warnings for Consumers and Families

1. Evenflo Revolve360 Slim Car Seats

Issue: Foam in the headrest may be reachable by a child and could detach. 

Hazard: Choking hazard for young children (pieces of foam).

Remedy: Stop using unless you install the free repair kit offered by Evenflo and follow their instructions.

 

2. Tru Fru Freeze-Dried Strawberries (Multiple Retailers)

Issue: Possible presence of metal fragments in certain packages. 

Hazard: Risk of internal injuries or dental damage if consumed.

Remedy: Check packaging and lot codes on recall notice; consumers should not eat and should return or dispose of the product.

 

3. Ben’s Original Long Grain White / Whole Grain / Wild Ready Rice

Issue: Potential presence of small stones from the rice farm. 

Hazard: Oral or digestive tract injury if stones are swallowed.

Remedy: Check affected SKUs; consumers should stop using and contact for refund or replacement.

 

4. Haitai Haetae HT Ground Cinnamon (8 oz)

Issue: Potential metal contaminant in the cinnamon powder. 

Hazard: Physical injury or contamination risk from metal pieces in food. 

Remedy: Customers who purchased should return or discard the product and ask for a refund.

 

5. Cabot Creamery Sea Salt Caramel Cheddar Popcorn

Issue: Undeclared peanuts in the popcorn product. 

Hazard: Risk of allergic reaction (potentially life-threatening) for peanut‐sensitive consumers.

Remedy: If you or your family purchased the product, discard or return it; monitor for allergic symptoms if consumed.

 

6. Publix “Rich & Creamy” Vanilla Ice Cream (Half Gallon)

Issue: May contain French Vanilla ice cream with a mismatched lid; undeclared egg allergen risk. 

Hazard: Allergy risk for persons with egg allergy.

Remedy: Check label and “sell-by” date, do not consume if within the affected batch; return for refund.

 

7. WLIVE Fabric 12-Drawer Dressers (online via Amazon)

Issue: Dressers may tip over if not properly anchored; violate the federal STURDY Act standard. 

Hazard: Risk of serious injury or death from tip-over or entrapment of children.

Remedy: Stop using unless anchored; contact WLIVE for refund and instructions for safe disposal
