Lawyer for family of college student killed by officer after arriving at wrong house wants body-cam footage
ABC News featured attorney Ken Fulginiti in its coverage of the fatal police shooting of 22-year-old Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher and the family’s efforts to obtain the available video evidence surrounding the encounter. Fulginiti, who represents the Pysher family, discussed the questions that remain after Upper Pottsgrove Township Police Cpl. Sean Farrell was charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection with the Aug. 23 shooting.
The report focuses heavily on body-worn camera footage described by Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele. According to the coverage, Steele said the footage appeared to show Pysher complying with police commands and did not support Farrell’s account that Pysher charged at him while yelling. The criminal complaint also alleges that Pysher had his hands raised, was unarmed, and was shot shortly after Farrell arrived at the scene.
Fulginiti told the news outlet that the family wants access to the complete body-camera recording, along with video and audio from Farrell’s police vehicle and security-camera footage referenced in the criminal complaint. His comments underscore the family’s effort to understand the circumstances surrounding Pysher’s death and obtain a fuller accounting of the available evidence.
